On the Ground

Step into our visual gallery, and before your very eyes, Micronesia unfolds like a lush tapestry of emerald and jade. Islands and atolls are drenched in the verdant embrace of jungles, a symphony of nature’s vibrant hues.

Picture this: A world where open hull boats reign supreme, akin to the heartbeat of the nation. These vessels are the equivalent of family cars, a pulse that keeps life flowing through the waterways. And there, gliding upon the liquid pathways, are the water taxis, enigmatic and swift, ferrying passengers through this aqueous realm.

Now, let your gaze wander to the more developed realms – Pohnpei, Kosrae, Chuuk, and Yap – islands that emerge as havens of civilization. Here, the roads weave like lifelines, arteries for cars and trucks that shuttle inhabitants from one destination to another. Yet, take heed as you journey, for these roads are a patchwork, each segment varying in its state of repair. Pot holes loom like craters, demanding tactical navigation to evade their clutches.

Imagine a different path – the waterways beckon. A boat, a vessel of velocity, becomes the preferred conduit to your destination. The ripples of the ancestors’ wisdom resonate, for these island progenitors were maestros of navigation upon the boundless expanse of the Pacific. The boat-culture is innate, a whisper of tradition guiding the modern traveler to their ultimate safety in this enigmatic, watery domain.

This Blue Marlin caught by our good friend, Bill Stinnett, fed a lot of people for three days.

Hello Fernando and thanks for your message. It was found in the SPAM folder so apologies for the late response. We successfully cracked open and pulled away a part of the slab and found very encouraging items such as aged western clothing bits (the kind a well dress male in the 30’s, 40’s or 50’s) as well as medical glass holders, surgical tiles and other identifiers that we were close– VERY close. I am convinced we have found the location and are about 50 feet from where the remains are buried.

I just received an email stating that the lost Clipper was refueled in Japanese held Truk Lagoon and that the PAX and crew were arrested and executed and the Clipper was sunk in deep water. The purpose was to remove the new radial engines and send to Japan for examionation.

Thanks for the message John. I would love to have any details of what you heard if it was from any other place outside the Lost Clipper forum. We are always looking for missing puzzle pieces and who knows yours may be a keystone.

      Best,
