This week’s Lost Clipper clip features Mr. Javier Peña whom we’ve teamed with to investigate the disappearance of the Hawaii Clipper.
Javier Peña retired from the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) as a Special Agent in Charge (SAC) in January 2014 after 30 years of service. His career was highlighted by his volunteering for assignment to the DEA office in Bogota, Colombia in 1988, where he and his partner, then-Special Agent Steve Murphy, set out to bring down the notorious Medellin drug cartel led by Pablo Escobar. Mr. Peña brings three decades of speculative analysis to the Lost Clipper team. It is his and Stephen Murphy’s true story as told by the smash Netflix show, “Narcos.”
NARCOS is the true story of the U.S. and Colombian efforts to battle the Medellin cartel during the cocaine-fueled drug wars of the 1980’s. Multi-layered and multi-faceted, NARCOS depicts a brutal world where lines are blurred and little is black and white.

Next Monday’s vignette will feature Javier Pena’s DEA partner, Mr. Steve Murphy.
