This cold week in DC has made me really miss the warm waters of Micronesia. The good thing is that the days are getting longer as Spring approaches and soon, I hope, to be in those waters and the islands that seemingly float among them. Lately it really does feel like I take one step forward and two steps back, but I’m grateful I have yet to fall. This week begins a new FOIA push for additional data from old State Department files and extra research in books now long gathered with dust. I’m hopeful that by mid May that all these loose ends will point int he same direction and that I can atlas have a fruitful trip back to Truk Lagoon.
