Jim Janicki (call sign WB3FMS) and Guy Noffsinger have been busy receiving your inquiries via our Lost Clipper amateur radio operation. We’ve talked with operators in Ontario Canada, Virgin Islands, Poland, and others across the globe about our efforts.

The Aero Amateur Radio Club that is hosting this event was first established at the Glenn L. Martin manufacturing plant where the Hawaii Clipper aircraft was built, and two transmitters for the event are established at the Essex Skypark Airport (W48) located in Essex, MD near the original location of the Martin manufacturing plant.
The Special Event call sign is K1H and our QSL card will feature the aircraft and the location in Micronesia where the crew and passenger remains are believed to be located.
